Starting TODAY, Friday, November 21, the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail is OPEN for a few weeks on the section being resurfaced from the Greer Deckers Creek Plant (mile 9.5) to the Masontown Trailhead (mile 13.5) at Sand Bank Road. This resurfacing of a 4-mile stretch of trail with compacted limestone will continue on Monday, Dec. 8. Thank you to crew from WVDOH Cenforce for this work! Please be alert to changing surface conditions in the work zone.
The Deckers Creek Rail-Trail Restoration project is partially funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration’s Transportation Alternatives Program which is administered by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways. The 20% match to this grant is provided by the Monongalia County Parks and Trails Levy and donations to the Mon River Trails Conservancy.
